The world
Long ago seven comets fell on the world, an event remembered as the Descent. Each one seeded a bloodline with an element and a property: fire that grows as it burns, light that never misses, earth that will not move, shadow that undoes. Those whose power wakes are called Asès, and every one of them pays for what they can do. Nothing in this world is free.
At the centre of the continent stands the Accord, an empire of councils and ledgers on a plateau above the clouds, the strongest force in the known world. To the east lies Thamari, the Severed Land, whose old kingdom the Accord broke two hundred years ago, burning its libraries so its people would forget their verses. They did not forget. They kept a faith: the Shepherd was betrayed, the flame is the correction, and one day the Seventh Fire will come.
Seventh Fire is sacred history told by someone who already knows how it ends. Its battles are arguments between worldviews, its powers are theology, and its world is older than anyone walking in it.
